We never set the bar low
A passion for nature, business, and technology. I started Barlow Aerial Imagery because I saw an opportunity to combine my passion for nature, business, and technology in a way that could truly make a difference. Growing up in Niagara Falls, I always had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, but it wasn’t until I moved to Muskoka that I truly fell in love with the landscape.
With an associate’s degree in business and an advanced certificate in arboriculture, I built my career in both forestry and private golf course management. I spent seven years managing private golf clubs, gaining a deep understanding of land management, property maintenance, and the challenges of environmental conservation.
It was during my time in forestry and golf course management that I realized how inefficient traditional inspections and monitoring could be. Climbing trees for assessments, conducting manual property inspections, and trying to maintain large landscapes with limited visibility made me think—there has to be a better way. That’s when I turned to drones.
In 2023, I launched Barlow Aerial Imagery to bring innovative aerial solutions to businesses, homeowners, and environmental organizations. What started as a tool for forestry and property inspections quickly grew into a full-scale media and industrial service. Now, we capture stunning aerial footage, provide thermal imaging for energy efficiency, and offer solutions for industries ranging from real estate to conservation.
More than just a business, Barlow Aerial Imagery is about giving back. I’ve been fortunate to support local initiatives like the South Muskoka Hospital Foundation and the Muskoka Conservancy, using my skills to make a real impact in the community.
My mission is simple: to push the boundaries of aerial technology while staying true to my roots in business and environmental stewardship.
